Beckman (Bailey) RN, Leoda “Lee”, 83, passed peacefully Friday (2-21-2020) at the Kent Regency. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James J. and Hortense E. (Hudson) Bailey. Lee was a member of the RI Hospital Guild and Nurses Association as well as the Radiology Association of Nurses. She had worked at Kent County Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1994. She is survived by her children Karen (Glen) Simpson of Warwick, Mark (Isabelle) Beckman of Cranston, Donna (Pete) Antonacci of Warwick and James (Linda) Beckman of Coventry and 9 grandchildren, Erika Gustavsson, Ryan George, Eric Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Kristy Antonacci, Michael Beckman, Samantha Beckman, Brandon Beckman, Taylor Beckman, and 6 great-grandchildren, Talan, Jackson, Ava, James, Evelyn and Reese. She was the mother of the late C. Alan Beckman. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday, February 25th from 5-7 with a service at 6:00pm. Visit cranstonfuneral.com for directions.
