Obituaries

 

Stapleton Francis J. (Frank) (Red) passed peacefully Tuesday (8-22-2023) on his 64th Wedding Anniversary surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late John L. and Abbie (Duffy) Stapleton. He was the husband of 64 years to Anna (Sadler) Stapleton.

Red or Frank who was known by both names was a Machine Shop Electrician for Holfacker Machine Tool in Cranston for 20 years before retiring in 2005. He was a Korean War Veteran with the US Air Force.

Besides his wife he leaves 2 sons; Daniel (Donna) Stapleton of Coventry and Thomas J. Stapleton of Warwick, 4 daughters; Barbara Holberton of Pawcatuck, CT, Sandra (Charles) Cloutier of Richmond, RI, Kellie Mascia of Warwick and JoAnn DeMarco of Cranston, 11 grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren. He was brother of the late Abbie V. Robshaw, Dorothy O’Brien and John L. Stapleton, Jr and Joseph F, Stapleton.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours Sunday (08/27/2023) from 2-4pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston . Funeral Service Monday at 11:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
