Souza, Manuel, 87, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Saturday April 11, 2020. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Carnevale) Souza for 65 years. He had lived in Cranston for most of his life. Manny had worked for C.I. Hayes for 42 years before retiring in 1998. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Surprise Woolhouse Veterans Post and the Cranston Portuguese Club. Besides his wife he leaves 3 daughters; Rosemarie (David) Scharer of Palm Coast, FL, Marianne (Paul) Grondalski of Lincoln and Lori (David) Nacci of Harlem, GA, 2 brothers; Jack Souza of Atlanta, GA, and Daniel Souza of Herndon, VA, 6 Grandchildren Rachel Scharer, Paul Grondalski, Susan, Samantha, Sabrina and David Nacci and 3 great grandchildren. A Memorial mass in celebration of his life will be held at a later date when we do not have to be socially distant. Funeral Service and burial with Military Honors will be private from the Stapleton Family Funeral Home..
