Chong Yee Wong, 83, of Cranston died Friday, (11/25/2016) at RI Hospital. He was born in Taishan, China a son of the late Hao Jia Wong and Ru Xin Li. He came to Rhode Island in 1988 and became a US citizen in 2003. He was the husband of Big Che Ng.
Mr. Wong was a cook at Fu Ming Restaurant for 25 years before retiring in the year 2000.
Besides his wife he leaves 4 sons; Chao Jian Huang and spouse Xiu Juan Yuan, Kevin C. Huang and spouse Ya Ci Lei, Chao Yan Huang and spouse Pam Huang and Chiu Sum Wong and spouse Rui Mei Lei, all of Cranston, a daughter Yanna Wong Tow and spouse Phillip Tow, of Warwick, a brother Yao Yee Wong of Brooklyn, NY, a sister Miao Lian Wong of Brooklyn, NY, 12 grandchildren, Karen, Steve, Michael, Jenny, Matthew, Lisa, Janet and Jason Huang, Jessica and Joanna Wong, Emily and Cody Tow, and 5 great grandchildren, Vivien and Nicholas Yau, Alexys, Kingston and Valentina Kwong. He was the brother of the late Ching Lin Lee.
His life will be celebrated with calling hours Monday 11/28/16 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston.
