MURPHY, GLORIA "PUDGE", 86, of Warwick, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at West View Nursing Center, West Warwick. Raised in Cranston, and a graduate of Cranston High School, class of 1949, she had lived in Warwick since 1959. She was predeceased by her parents Ferdinand and Florence (Smith) Pahl, and her sister Myrtle "Sugar" Olsen. A lover of music, she played the piano and ukulele, and was one third of the McPahlJe Sisters, a singing trio in the 1940's. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Richard Murphy, 2 sons; Paul (Linda) Murphy of Coventry, John (Gretchen) Murphy of Branford, CT, a daughter Kyle (Thomas) Larkin of Danielson, CT, a brother Fred "Bud" (Ann) Pahl of Scituate, 5 grandchildren, Erin Murphy, Samantha Larkin, Jenifer (Aaron) Greenleaf, Lizbet Ferrante, Johnny Ferrante, a great granddaughter, Amira Rose Greenleaf, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Funeral Friday at 9:00am with a Funeral Service Friday at 10:00am. Burial to follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
