We regretfully announce the passing of Norma (Souza) Guisti of East Providence, R.I. on Wednesday, May 31st of 2023, at the Hulitar Hospice Center. In her last few days Norma was surrounded by her family she loved the most before passing peacefully. The family will never be able to fill the space left behind by her, but will find comfort in knowing they now have an angel watching over them. She was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Arruda) Souza and the wife of Richard E. Guisti of East Providence. Beside her husband she leaves; a son Richard A. (Bethann) Guisti, of Cranston 2 daughters, Sharon (Michael) Fiato of Boynton Beach, FL, Marlene Guisti of East Providence, a sister Jane Barbour of Cohasset, MA, and 4 grandchildren, Jacob Fiato, Paige Medeiros, Allie Guisti and Addison Guisti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston Saturday July 15th at 09:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Association or the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.
