FRONCILLO, RICHARD A., 67 of Cranston, passed away on Friday (4/20/2018) at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, a son of the late Antonio and Beatrice (Moran) Froncillo. He was the beloved husband of Marian (Vitale) Froncillo for 39 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Richard and Nicholas Froncillo, both of Cranston, daughter in law, Adriana Froncillo of Johnston, dear sisters Patricia Vitale of Johnston and Marylou Scalzi of Providence, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Catherine Froncillo.
Ricky earned his bachelor's degree at Springfield College and worked at SMART/ Discovery House where he made it his life's work to put patients on a path to better health and educate legislators. Of his many accomplishments, Ricky was President of the Pennsylvania Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence and recently won the National Nyswander/Dole Award for his extraordinary service in the opioid treatment industry.
His favorite days were spent cooking for his family, enjoying a glass of wine, and riding his motorcycle. He lived his life with purpose, dedication and a positive attitude, making a tremendous impact on the lives of many people.
Calling hours Wednesday at Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Ave, Cranston, 02910, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. A memorial mass at St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston, RI 02905, Thursday at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
