Day, Harrison J. 70 of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Kent Hospital on Friday, May 11, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Maureen (Hughes) Day for 32 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harrison J. and Grace E. (McGuire) Day. Harrison was a self-employed jewelry rep for 40 years before retiring in 2016. Besides his wife he leaves 3 sisters; Barbara Colvin of Scituate, Hope Pilkington of Cranston and Eleanor McGrath of South Kingstown and a brother-in-law William and his wife Christine Hughes of Plainville, MA. His life will be celebrated with calling hours Wednesday 4-7 in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Funeral Thursday at 8:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Mary Elizabeth Kelly Memorial Scholarship, care of Cranston HS West, 80 Metropolitan Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
