    Obituaries

     

     

    daSilva, Mary Rose (Delgado), 98, of Warwick, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Thursday (June 13, 2019), at Greenwich Farms Assisted Living, her home for the last 2 years. Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Jose and Maria J. (Almeida) Delgado. She was the wife of the late Jose daSilva. They were married for 63 years living in Lodi, NJ, Cranston, and Warwick for the past 50 plus years.  

    Mrs. daSilva was a member of the Cranston Portuguese Club Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. A devotee to Our Lady, she loved to cook and read the daily newspaper. Her lifelong wish was for people be kind to one another. She lived her life exemplifying this. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital, Providence after working as a dietician for 15 years.

    She leaves 2 daughters: Anna-Marie (Antonio S.) Resende of Cumberland and Rosemary DaSilva of Warwick, a sister Isabel K. Delgado, 3 grand- children Jennifer (Robert) Buchetto, Monica Resende (Stephen DaSilva) and Paul Resende and 1 great grandson Alexander Buchetto and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Armedo J., Manuel A. Delgado and Alice A. Dias. .

    Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Funeral Saturday at 8:30am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Cranston at 10:00. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, 02904..
