Obituaries

 

 

Chu Sau Chong, 83, passed away on, Saturday, 12/21/2019. Born in Taishan, Guangdong, China she came to America in 1960. She was daughter to the late Lee Moy and Ping Ng. Her father was a member of the On Leung Merchants Association.

Chu Sau formerly worked for Tower Mfg. in Providence and then later for Armburst Chain before retiring in 1999. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed gardening every chance she could.

She was the wife of Joseph Chong for 59 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her son Joseph L. Chong and his wife, Qing Hong, of Barrington, 2 daughters; Susan Luk and her husband, Ben, of Warren, and Karen Chong of Providence, 5 grandchildren; Kevin T. Luk, Mathew R. Luk, Lauren M. Luk, Andrew R. Chong and Austin B. Chong. In addition, she was blessed to have one year old great grandson, Nolan P. Luk. She was the sister to the late Chi Ming Mui and his wife, Kam Ying.

Her life will be celebrated with the calling hours Thursday, 12/26/2019, from 8-10am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI. Funeral to follow at 10am. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
