Susan (Sau Ho) Chin, 89, of Cranston, passed peacefully on Monday (7/15/2019) at home surrounded by family. She was born in Toisan, China a daughter of the late See Po Ng and Tan Fun Louie. She came to the United States in 1948 to share her life as wife to the late Sam (Ark Quon) Chin. They later became citizens of the United States.
She was an owner of the original China Pearle Restaurant in Cranston. She also worked and retired from Brown and Sharpe. She was a member of Beneficent Church and later the Chinese Christian Church of RI. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, meditation and spending time with family and friends.
She was a devoted mother to Rickie K. (Judy) Chin of Cranston, Nickie K. Chin of Warwick, the late Judy K. (Joe) Chin-Su of Lexington, MA, Stanley K. (Karen) Chin of Ellicott City, MD and John K. Chin of Cranston. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and their children. She was the sister of the late Wai Ho Ng, Sun Ho Tong, Gee Ho Choy and Dai Kow Ng.
Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Monday 8:30am to 10:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in the family lot in Pawtuxet Memorial Park in Warwick.
