Moon “Chester” Fook Chin, 91, of Providence, passed peacefully Monday (3/11/2019) surrounded by his family at home. Born in Canton, China he came to the United States in 1951. He was a son of the late Wah Hoi Chin and Soon How Liu. He was the husband of Chau “Cecelia” Sheung Yip Chin. Chin became a citizen of the United States in 1970. He and his wife owned the China Jade Restaurant in Johnston before retiring. He was a member of the On Leung Merchants Association. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Marie L. (Kenny) Look of Warwick, a son Frank L. (Angie) Chin of Cranston, 2 brothers, Moon Dock Chin and Moon Jin Chan both of Cranston, a sister Sandy Yam of Norwich, CT and three grandchildren Logan, Ethen and Cheyenne Chin. He was grandfather of the late Daniel Look. His life will be celebrated with calling hours Monday 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in the family lot in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
