Richard Glenn Taylor “Kojo”, 53, of Indiana Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at home.
Born March 28, 1971 in Providence, Rhode Island he was the son of George Morgan and the late Patricia Taylor. “Kojo” as he was affectionately Known was a lifelong resident of Providence.
Kojo was a graduate of Hope High School, Providence, class of 1989. He worked as a tradesman in the painting industry for many years.
He served his community by volunteering as a referee for The Annual Billy Taylor Summer Basketball League for 25 years. He enjoyed all sports but he was truly an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He liked being the comedian in the room and always had a funny joke to tell. Above all he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Fisher and his wife Rhonda Morgan of Providence; Bruce Fisher of Smithfield; and Jaron Lema of Pawtucket;
a daughter, Thailynn McCarthy of Providence, a brother,
William Taylor of Atlanta,GA, four sisters, Anika Taylor,
Yanna Poston, Tene Poston, and Kisha Poston all of
Providence; two granddaughters, Shaniyah Fisher and
Jaliyah Lema; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., visitation will take place from 9:00 A.M - 10:30 A.M., in the Chapel of Hope and Memory, Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence, Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
