Robshaw RN, Abbie V., 95 of East Providence, passed peacefully Sunday morning, November 22, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late John L. and Abbie (Duffy) Stapleton. She was the wife of the late Harry A. Robshaw, Sr..

Abbie was a RN for 60 years, working at St. Josephs Hospital in Providence and retained her RN for 70 years. She enjoyed reading and collected many diverse authors. Abbie volunteered at the Rumford Library and was a member of many Libraries. Abbie also enjoyed traveling with her husband Harry, and her brother Joe. They traveled all over the World, including Egypt, Russia, Greece and many others on a yearly basis.

She is survived by 2 sons; Harry (Esther) Robshaw, Jr from Warwick and John (Geri) Robshaw of Warwick, 6 Daughters; Abigail V. Driscoll and Deborah A. (Michael) Morin both of Covertry, Jacqueline (Kurt) Robshaw-Shultz of Cranston, Lecia M. Robshaw of Pawtucket and Lynn M. (Gerald) Durand of Iron Station, NC. She was the sister of Francis “Red” (Anna) Stapleton of Warwick. She was the mother of the late Michele D. Fabas, and sister of the late John L. Stapleton, Joseph F. Stapleton and Dorothy O’Brien. She had 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Wednesday morning from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a service at 12:30pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI.
