Obituaries

 

Nill, Harry J., US Navy Retired, 91 of Port St. Lucie, FL passed peacefully Sunday (12-26-21) surrounded by his family. Born in Pittsburg, PA, a son of the late Henry and Evelyn (Leive) Nill. He was the husband of the late Lois Nill and Rosemarie Horowitz.

Mr. Nill was a career US Navy man having spent 22 years in the service retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Nill had lived in West Warwick for a while. He leaves a daughter Deborah Kelly of Moosup, CT and Lawrence Nill of Providence. He was the father of the late Harry J. Nill, Jr. He leaves 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter at 1:00pm. At the family’s request, donations in his memory may be made to Special Olympics of Connecticut POB 4000, Hamden, CT 06514. Masks are required for all.
