Obituaries

 

Hanrahan, Elena “Ellie” A., 80, formerly of Cranston, passed peacefully Sunday (6/4/2017) at the home of her son in Coventry. She was a daughter of the late Antonio and Adelina (Angiolilli) Petrangelo.  She was the wife of the late John F. Hanrahan and had lived in Cranston for over 35 years.

Ellie had been a waitress for over 55 years at several of the area restaurants the last of which for the Mesa Café.

Besides her son Joseph B. (Susan) Hanrahan of Coventry, she leaves a sister Anna Ferreira of Rehoboth, 2 grandchildren Joseph and Christopher Hanrahan.  She was the sister of the late Michael and Domenic Petrangelo, Philomenia Keller, Marie Rollo and Edith DeGranpre.

Her life will be celebrated with calling hours one hour before her funeral service Thursday at 10:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Kindred Gentiva Hospice Foundation, 3350 Riverwood Parkway, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30339.
