Obituaries

 

Gaumond, Edward F., 95, of Cranston passed peacefully Friday (7/14/2017) at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was a son of the late George and Ethel (Odell) Gaumond.  He had lived in Cranston with his devoted wife of 66 years Marie F. (Kelly) Gaumond.

Ed worked in the maintenance department at the former Grinnell Corp. for 30 years until they closed and then worked at Federal Products for 12 years before retiring in 1989.  He was a US Navy Air Force Veteran of WW II.

Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons; James E. (his wife Janice) and their sons Ryan, Nicholas and Nolan Gaumond; John F. (and his wife Donna) and their children, Joshua and Lynsey Gaumond; Steven A. (and his friend Debra) Gaumond and a daughter Jean M. (and her husband Richard) Canning and their son Joshua and his great grandchildren Willow, Rosie, Jack, Katie and Oliver and a brother Raymond Gaumond.  He was brother of the late George and Clarence Gaumond.

His life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday from 9:00am to 10:00am with a funeral service Tuesday at 10:00am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
