DiVincenzo, Cecelia D. (Pistocco), 88, of Cranston, passed Friday, June 14, at home with family by her side. Born in Providence the daughter of the late Charles L. and Elvira (Martinelli) Pistocco. She was the wife of the former Cranston Tax Assessor Armando DiVincenzo. She had lived in Cranston for over 50 years.
Celia had worked for the Gorham Corporation for 20 years before retiring in 1969. She belonged to the Flower Club of Cranston. Was a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Mary Church and RI Hospital and taught CCD at Saint Mary Church. She traveled extensively and was an avid and accomplished piano player.
She leaves a sister-in-law Margaret Pistocco of Warwick, 2 cherished nephews; Charles (Jennifer) Pistocco of Providence and Chris Pistocco of Warwick, a great nephew Cross Pistocco and her caregiver Dr. Maria O'Toole, MD. She was sister of the late Charles Pistocco, Jr.
Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Wednesday from 9:00am to 10:30am in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made for Matthew DiIorio in care of F.A.R.A.
